Welcome on the technical information website of the PISCES marine biogeochemistry model

PISCES (Pelagic Interactions Scheme for Carbon and Ecosystem Studies) is a community model of marine biogeochemistry and planktonic ecosystems of varying complexity, whose open source code is distributed by the two ocean modelling platforms NEMO and CROCO.

Annual surface concentrations of NO3, PO4, chlorophyll, and air-sea CO2 flux simulated by the PISCES model (NEMO, eORCA1 grid).
